Continuing Education Credits
Dallas County Dental Society is an ADA CERP recognized provider. CE courses provided by Dallas County Dental Society are recognized by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, other states' licensing bodies and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). In Texas, CE courses must be 'technical or scientific as relates to clinical care' to qualify for relicensure. Courses are designated 'technical and/or scientific' or 'nontechnical.' CE requirements differ from state to state, so please check with your state for specific requirements. AGD course codes and CE credit hours are shown on each course synopsis.
Course Disclaimer
The Southwest Dental Conference and its sponsor, the Dallas County Dental Society, make every effort to present high-caliber clinicians in their respective areas of expertise. The presentations of the speakers in no way imply endorsement of any product, technique or service presented in the course. The Southwest Dental Conference and the Dallas County Dental Society specifically disclaim responsibility for any material presented.
CE Documentation
A CE Attendance Worksheet is included in each registration packet. Additional CE Attendance Worksheets will be available at the Welcome Center. Record course information and completion codes on the CE Attendance Worksheet. Completion codes are given at the conclusion of each course. Each attendee is responsible for maintaining all CE documentation. AGD members may obtain special AGD forms from the AGD desk. Some states have different requirements for documentation and verification of course credits. Please check with your state.
CE Verification Certificates - CE Center
CE computer stations are located near the On-site Registration Desk in Area D Upper Lobby and at the back of the Exhibit Hall. At the computer, scan the bar code on your CE Scan Card and type in the four-digit completion code for each course attended. This will generate a printed CE Verification Certificate detailing course name, presenter, date, time and number of CE credit hours. Courses may be entered into the computer all at one time or at various times. The printed CE Verification Certificate is cumulative and will show all courses attended each time the list is printed. Courses with identical dates and times will not print. The CE Center is open during all Conference hours. You may leave the CE Attendance Worksheet at the CE Center or mail it to the registration company after the Conference, and a CE Verification Certificate will be mailed to you. The registration service will mail CE Verification Certificates at no charge for up to 90 days after the Conference; thereafter, a $10 charge is assessed.
NEW! If you did not scan for CE Verification at the 2011 Southwest Dental Conference you now have the option to access it online after the conclusion of the meeting (Monday morning). This site will be available for six months after the 2011 SWDC.
Online Handouts
After registering for courses, attendees with valid e-mail addresses will receive access to handouts electronically. With this convenience, attendees can download the handouts for each course they plan to attend prior to the Conference. Printed handouts will not be available on site.
