The Southwest Dental Conference (SWDC) team and the staff at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (KBHCC) are working together to ensure the health and safety of every employee, client, attendee, and partner that enters the facility for the SWDC.
As you make plans to join us, please consider the following regarding pandemic protocol:
The SWDC team is working with KBHCC to utilize the best resources to implement procedures that will give our visitors confidence. Enhanced safety measures including increased sanitation, health screenings, touchless doors and lights, physical distancing and use of PPE will diminish employee and guest exposure to COVID-19.
All procedures will follow state and local government entities as well as the local health authority regarding any mandates as required by the City of Dallas. We will continue to refine and update these procedures as new information is received and vetted. All registered attendees will be provided with the safety measures plan in their registration packet and will always be required to adhere to these measures.
The leadership and employees of KBHCC have been thoroughly trained on procedures and are instituted to protect the public health during the COVID-19 pandemic. This past September, KBHCC achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation. GBAC’s STAR™ Facility Program, created by the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), has specific criteria that consider cleaning, disinfecting, and infectious disease prevention plans.
KBHCC is currently operating at 50% occupancy following social distancing protocols. Class sizes will be planned accordingly with extremely limited seating (first-come, first-served) so early registration is encouraged.
